Initiative on International Development - Volunteerism & Service

Throughout their education, Georgetown students take advantage of numerous opportunities to apply their development studies through community service, and volunteerism. Students volunteer with many local, national, and international organizations and study abroad in various developing countries. Georgetown students also take the lead in founding and developing advocacy groups on campus and beyond, and make a difference helping others even before graduation.

Service Projects

Many centers and programs throughout the university offer opportunities for students to take part in community service, and work towards alleviating poverty at home and abroad.
