Erik graduated magna cum laude in 2014 from Fordham University, with a major in International Political Economy and a minor in Chinese Language and Literature. In college, Erik interned with Congressman Charles Rangel and the U.S. State Department. He participated in the 2012 Rangel Summer Program and service projects in Kentucky and Ecuador and studied in China as a Gilman grantee. After graduating from college, he taught English for two years in South Korea and one year in Taiwan as a Fulbright recipient.
Erik speaks Spanish and Chinese and is pursuing a concentration in Global Politics and Security in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program. Upon graduation, Erik will join the Department of State Foreign Service as a 2018 State Department Rangel Fellow.
