Kenan Dogan
BSBGA '23
Kenan is in the School of Foreign Service studying Business and Global Affairs, a new joint degree program with the McDonough School of Business. His academic interests revolve around the interplay between urbanism, policy, and markets. Kenan traces his deep appreciation for urbanism to his days exploring his hometown of St. Louis and now the DC/Arlington area, and is grateful for the opportunity to integrate urban policy into his Georgetown education through the MURFs program. Through MURFs, Kenan has researched affordable housing policy and municipal public campaign finance programs alongside Professor Brian McCabe. In Fall 2021, he co-authored a report with Professor McCabe on DC's new public campaign finance program, titled "Expanding Donor Participation in the District: An Analysis of the Fair Elections Program in Washington DC." In addition to the MURFs program, Kenan is also a research intern at the Manhattan Institute, an urban policy think tank. Outside the urban policy world, Kenan is a member of Innovo Consulting and the Georgetown Saxatones acapella group. As a singer, pianist, and guitarist, he also enjoys performing pop music.
