Kenan is in the School of Foreign Service studying Business and Global Affairs, a joint degree program with the McDonough School of Business. While he is fascinated by how governmental policy affects the business environment, he has developed an intense passion for urban studies through fervently exploring his home city of St. Louis and the D.C./Arlington area. Kenan is excited to be researching urban affairs with Professor Brian McCabe to explore how different approaches to urban policy and planning affect the lives and opportunities of people living within cities. Kenan has contributed to Professor McCabe’s research on the administration of the Housing Choice Voucher program and is currently working together with Professor McCabe to compose a study on Washington D.C.’s Fair Elections Program. Outside of MURFs, Kenan is a member of Innovo Consulting and the Georgetown Saxatones acapella group. As a singer, pianist, and guitarist, Kenan also enjoys performing pop music.
