I am pursuing my PhD in International Relations, Department of Government, and my research focuses on uncovering order in the chaos of violence and terrorism.

Professionally, I have worked in the Middle East and East Africa, with 14 contracts with 10 different institutions and organizations — including those based in Europe, Hong Kong, and the U.S. I have led or contributed to projects funded by major donors, including UNICEF, FAO, FCDO (formerly DFID), USAID, Danida, SIDA, and the European Union.

I have also contributed my expertise to multi-million-dollar regional programs, including advancing Protection of Civilians (PoC) in Uganda, Kenya, and Somalia alongside national defense forces as a Researcher, and stabilizing Somalia as a Jr. Investment Manager.

My field experience also includes research on the reintegration of women defectors and surviving high-profile terrorist attacks—notably the 2019 Dusit complex attack in Nairobi. These experiences inform my academic work with grounded insight into the human impact and aftermath of chaos and violence.
