Remapping IR, cosponsored by the Department of Government, is a new series highlighting diverse approaches to the study of International Relations. This multi-year series of events and programs intends to showcase the diversity of cutting-edge approaches that exist to understand global politics. At the same time, it intends to broaden the intellectual discussion on who, how and what matters in international affairs. Speakers from 2016-2017 Remapping IR programming included Laura Sjoberg, Robert Vitalis, L.H.M. Ling, Cynthia Weber, and J.P. Singh and focused on alternative perspectives to power, states, and the international system.
In the Spring of 2018, the Mortara Center Remapping IR series will welcome two scholars to give working paper talks and a Master Class for students. Phillip Ayoub from Drexel University will present on January, 29th, 2018 and Sabrina Karim from Cornell University will present on April 23rd, 2018.
