Meicen Sun

Meicen Sun is a PhD candidate of international relations and political economy at Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she focuses on international security, the political economy of technology, and Chinese foreign policy. Her research examines the effect of information policy on the future of innovation and state power. Prior to MIT, Sun conducted research at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC, and the UN Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Africa. Her writings have appeared in Foreign Policy Analysis, Harvard Business Review, World Economic Forum, and the Diplomat among others. She currently serves as a Fellow on the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council on China, and is a Young Leader with the Pacific Forum. Sun holds an A.B. with Honors from Princeton University and an A.M. with a Certificate in Law from the University of Pennsylvania.
