Divjot Bawa
Student Assistant
Divjot Singh Bawa is a junior in the School of Foreign Service, studying Science, Technology, and International Affairs with a minor in Computer Science and a certificate in Diplomatic Studies. Based out of northern Virginia, he is passionate about information and national security, emerging technology policy, and cyber diplomacy.
Outside of the classroom, Divjot pursues his interests by interning at the National Counterintelligence and Security Center as a Virtual Student Federal Service intern, contributing to policy briefs at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies as a Center on Cyber and Technology Innovation intern, and a serving as a project manager for the DESC Speaker Series and the GPEP initiative at the Mortara Center. At the Beeck Center for Social Impact and Innovation, he also recently helped publish a playbook resource that will aid State Chief Data Officers nationally in better forming and sustaining data-sharing collectives.
As a driven and service-oriented individual, Divjot aspires to have a career as a public servant, aiding policymakers in crafting robust cyber policy/strategy to safeguard critical infrastructure, networks, and data integral to the security of the United States.
