Aaliyah Gala
Undergraduate Research Assistant - Earth Commons Project
Aaliyah is a member of the class of 2028 in the School of Foreign Service, pursuing a major in International Economics. Born and raised in Bombay, she is drawn to the ways economic interdependence both connects and divides states, particularly when markets are used as tools of political pressure. She is intrigued by how trade, supply chains, and strategic resources shape global power structures, and how countries respond when those structures are disrupted. On campus, Aaliyah is a member of Georgetown Global Consulting and Hoya Taxa, and she enjoys exploring how international development and economic policy translate into real-world impact. In her free time, she loves reading, running, exploring new places, and trying different cuisines with my friends.
