Carma Ghorab
BSFS’28
Carma Ghorab is a member of the Class of 2028 in the School of Foreign Service, intending to major in International Political Economy. As an Egyptian-American growing up in the United States, her intercultural upbringing sparked her interest in international affairs as it fell at the intersection between culture, history, and service. As a first year student, Carma took Professor Rochelle Davis’ proseminar class called “Refugees” which sparked her interest in studying displacement and the drivers of migration as it relates to conflict and global development. As a MURF, Carma now assists Professor Davis with her work at the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies. Outside of being a MURF, Carma is also involved with Georgetown’s Arab Society, and she enjoys reading, playing the flute around campus, hanging out with friends, and practicing calligraphy.
