As a Ph.D candidate in political science at the University of California San Diego, Eddie studies the authoritarian politics of Artificial Intelligence. His research as a GPEP pre-doctoral fellow focuses on the way censorship and propaganda induce political biases in AI. In the fall of 2024, Eddie will be a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University and an assistant professor in the political science department at Purdue University. Eddie received his MA from the University of Chicago and his BA from UCLA. He is currently a research intern at Microsoft Research, and was previously a CDDRL/HAI Fellow at Stanford University.
