Elizabeth Gutierrez is a second-year graduate student at the Walsh School of Foreign Service pursuing her Master’s in Security Studies. Prior to Georgetown, Elizabeth served as an intern law clerk at Tulare County Counsel, as a voluntary phone banker for the Democratic Headquarters in Westwood, and as a substitute teacher in Visalia, California. She received her B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations and a History minor in 2019 from the University of California, Los Angeles. Elizabeth plans to concentrate on U.S. national security policy at Georgetown, and her research interests include Iranian foreign policy, Iran’s nuclear aspirations and its effects in the Middle East and on U.S. foreign policy.
