Trellace Lawrimore is a 2022-2023 GPEP pre-doctoral fellow and a Ph.D. candidate in the NYU Department of Politics, where she studies American and comparative politics. Her research asks how elites maintain power over oppressed populations, and she focuses on the case of the historical U.S. South. Trellace has a Bachelors of Science from the Georgetown SFS. Prior to her graduate program at NYU, she worked as a research associate in Georgetown's Center for Research on Children in the U.S.
