Zeena Imam
BSFS '26
Zeena Imam is a member of the Class of 2026 in the School of Foreign Service studying Culture and Politics. As a Black, Muslim Sudanese-American woman, she has grown a strong interest in the topics of intersectionality and restorative justice. Her freshman proseminar based on the tv show Black Mirror taught by Professor Katherine Chandler allowed her to explore how the intersections of gender, race, sexual identity, and the media reflect the political issues of the world today. As a MURF, Zeena assists Professor Chandler with her research into drones and the media's depiction of contemporary gender-based issues. Outside of being a MURF, Zeena is an SFS ambassador for diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as on the board of the university's Black Student Alliance.
