Adam Parker

Adam M. Parker is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at Columbia University specializing in international relations and comparative politics. His research interests are in the politics of automation and labor-saving technological change. His dissertation investigates how the process of adopting new technologies is shaped by unions and the constraints placed on them by the divergent preferences of their members. He has a M.A. in Global Policy Studies from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas, Austin and a B.A. with honors in Economics and Political Science from Case Western Reserve University. Prior to his Ph.D. studies Adam was a Research Assistant with the Brookings Institution’s Center for Universal Education and a big data analyst with GreenZone Solutions. He has conducted research and published in the fields of political violence, international education, and economic development.
