Claire Ma

Claire Ma is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania, concentrating in American and Comparative Politics. Her research interests are broadly focused on the American political economy and the relationship between identity and labor organizing, with an emphasis on the modern American workplace as a site for political socialization and contestation. One research agenda, which includes Ma's dissertation project, examines contemporary union organizing and non-union employee activism among professionals and worker organizing in the tech sector. Another research stream investigates the workplace experiences of Asian Americans and their political socialization and participation in American politics.
