Jupiter Huang

Jupiter Huang is a member of the Class of 2025 in the School of Foreign Service majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs with a minor in Jewish Civilization, and soon to begin an accelerated masters in Security Studies. His interest in foreign policy stemmed from a childhood love of history and growing up between the opposite worlds of Guangzhou, China, and New Jersey. As a MURF, he is currently working with Professor Toshihiro Higuchi on a research project exploring the political and technical dimensions of U.S. nuclear nonproliferation policy with a focus on East Asia, and beginning an independent MURF project on the role of open-source intelligence in national security strategy. Outside of MURF, he’s currently interning at the Nuclear Threat Initiative and is involved in Georgetown Opportunities for Leadership Development, the Georgetown International Relations Association, The Georgetown Voice, and the ESCAPE program. He enjoys painting, reading, and playing tennis in his free time.
