Lizhi Liu is an assistant professor in the McDonough School of Business and a faculty affiliate of the Department of Government at Georgetown University. Her research interests include the political economy of development, digital economy, and Chinese politics. Her research on China's e-commerce market has been accepted or published by American Economic Review: Insights and Minnesota Law Review. She is currently working on a book manuscript that investigates the political economy of e-commerce. An earlier draft of this manuscript has won the 2019 Best Dissertation Award in the area of Information Technology and Politics by American Political Science Association (APSA).
