Niccolò Bonifai
GPEP Affiliate Fellow
Niccolò is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Government at Georgetown University and was a GPEP affiliate fellow during the 2023-2024 academic year. His dissertation research examines how globalization has transformed state-business relations, specifically how the spread of global value chains reduces firms' incentives to lobby against economic nationalist policies. He is also affiliated with the Lab for Globalization and Shared Prosperity at Georgetown. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Comparative Political Studies and International Studies Review and is conditionally accepted in the American Journal of Political Science. His work has also appeared in policy magazines such as Foreign Affairs.
Niccolò holds a M.S. in International Political Economy, with distinction, from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a B.S. in International Economics from Bocconi University.
