Serena Pradhan
BSFS '25
Serena Pradhan is a member of the Class of 2025 at the School of Foreign Service intending to major in International Politics. Serena's interest in global interactions stems from her diverse upbringing in Nepal, Thailand, Japan, and Kenya. Professor Lahra Smith's proseminar "Migration In and From Africa" sparked Serena's curiosity about the dynamics of displacement and conflict. Serena hopes to examine the horizontal inequalities that fuel war and hinder development. As a MURF, she assists Professor Smith in researching protracted displacement and refugee integration in sub-Saharan Africa. In her free time, Serena enjoys hiking and exploring D.C.'s best restaurants. On campus, Serena is the Marketing Chair of the Student Advocacy Office and is an editorial assistant for the Conflict & Security section of the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs.
