Ula Ekmecic

Ula Ekmecic is a member of the Class of 2026 in the School of Foreign Service majoring in International Politics and minoring in International Development. Her upbringing across Beijing, Bangkok, and Seattle sparked her passion for foreign affairs. At Mortara, Ula is a member of the Lab for Globalization and Shared Prosperity, where she investigates the causal shifts behind multinational corporations’ stance on pro-labor policies. Her research interests include globalization, labor rights, and the economics of happiness. On campus, Ula is a member of the GU Coalition for Workers’ Rights, is the Secretary of GU MOSAIC, and is an Editorial Assistant for the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs. In her free time, you can find her reading fiction at a local cafe.
